Husky Camp is a member of the Siberian Husky Rescue Referral of California (SHRRCA)
 a California 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization

Before adopting a dog, please consider that they will require a place to be for the next fifteen years. If you adopt a dog that place should be with you. Ask yourself these questions- "Am I willing to take a job that allows me to have time for my dog?" "Am I willing to socialize my dog to babies before I have one?" "Should I need to move- Am I willing to begin looking for a place that will accept my furry family member well in advance of my moving day?" "Am I willing to teach my dog the things he needs to know to make him able to stay in my home?"

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OR MORE OF OUR WONDERFUL ADOPTABLE PETS, PLEASE BE
SURE TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION SO WE CAN BE SURE TO BRING THOSE DOGS YOU ARE INTERESTED
IN TO OUR NEXT ADOPTION EVENT. NOT ALL DOGS ARE BROUGHT TO EACH ADOPTION EVENT.

“Marty” was found by one of Husky Camp’s volunteers discarded to the dumpster behind a Wallmart. He was so scared after the first attempt to catch him, he bolted for cover in the bushes next to the dumpster where the one photo of him was taken. He was filthy, heavily matted, and barely recognizable- but in time trusted us enough to help him. One week later, after some care, lots of love and attention (not to mention a day at the vet and groomer), his loving personality has emerged- and he is ready and willing to put his heart out there one more time- this time for a much better home.

He is between 9-12 months of age, is now neutered, current on all of his shots and also appears to be housebroken. He is an apricot colored terrier poodle mix, and about 12 pounds currently. He also loves people of all ages and has gotten along with other dogs and even the cats he’s been with. He does whine a bit while being crated, but it’s minimal and he will soon adjust to it. He would simply love a nice warm lap to sit in all day to keep you company, and a home where he won’t be discarded.

Meet Mork a 3 month old Husky/ Golden mix wooly boy with brown eyes.  Mork and his sister Mindy seem to have been forgotten when the family packed up their belongings and left them behind in the house.  He's very calm for a puppy and is crate trained.

As with all our puppies, potential adopters should have previous Husky experience and another active compatible dog to keep him company.

Here is Bijou, an 9 month old black and white Malberian  (Malamute/Siberian mix) female with blue eyes .  Watch this girl, she'll give you a toothache she's so sweet.  BUT, she's still a working breed dog that needs daily exercise and entertainment to keep her happy.  Bijou loves to cuddle and enjoys dunking her head in water and then share it with anyone nearby.  Her days right now are spent playing with the other huskies, napping, playing, napping and an occasional meal.

As with all our younger Siberians, potential adopters should have previous Husky experience and another active compatible dog to keep her company.

Rubi is an 8 year old red and white female.  She's a sweet and happy girl with a mind of her own.  She needs an owner that will give her the time and training that she needs, or she will just take over for you.  She's still very active and would do great on road trips to the mountains or down to the beach.  She's very good with kids of all ages and always has a great smile on her face.

Here is Romeo, he is 8 years old, red and white with amber eyes that is a happy boy.  He's strong on a leash, and does enjoy the company of another dog.  Romeo would be good for hikes and long walks.  An experienced husky owner that would like is willing to give him a chance to prove himself would mean the world to him.

Meet Koty and Misty.  Two very happy active dogs that would really like to score a home together.  Koty is a four year old black and white boy and Misty is a four year old all white girl.  They have been together since 2011 when they were first adopted out to wonderful couple who have come onto hard times medically speaking and cannot continue taking care of them.

These two are strong walkers, they have also been in harness pulling a  cart, and are very capable Siberians.  Once Koty gets his energy out he walks nice on a leash, and Misty is always beside him.  They love to go on road trips, camping trips, beach visits, singing by the campfire, just about anything you could imagine.

Our goal was to place them together, however we do understand that not everyone is up for taking in two Siberians at the same time.  At this point we would just love to have them in a home, even if the must part ways. You must have another dog in your  pack to keep them company.

Sweets

Yes, she is adorable, but beware! She never slows down. It’s a Sheltie disguised as a Husky.  She’s under 30 lbs. yaps like a Sheltie, is independent as a husky and  has all the pent up energy of a dog under a year old.  Yes, she will  need training and guidance. You will need unlimited patience,  tolerance and more energy than her just to keep up. She likes people, puts everything in her mouth, plays very rough and tumble with dogs far larger than herself. She is cat tolerant, though one must keep her enthusiasm from overwhelming felines. And yes, she is irresistibly cute. 1yr old female, wooly coat, gray and white with soft brown eyes. 30 lbs.

small in stature – an apartment sized dog. Can be crate trained, has

been socialized, all shots, vet checked, microchipped and spayed.

 Midnight

Gentle spirit, soft

brown eyes, a great full mask and people focused, Midnight was

completely overlooked way past his due date and on his way to being  put down when he was rescued. Sunbleached coat that should return to  jet black once he is out of the sun for a time. Male, neutered, 62lbs. microchipped, all shots, vet checked, crate trained. No cats or critters.

Feather

Passed over repeatedly because she was blowing coat and looked like a half plucked chicken (Feathers), we found a good brushing revealed a quiet soul beneath. She would probably be a good  first husky, apartment dog or great for an older person. Likes to be the only dog, but gets along with others. Bi-eyed, 4 years old, female, 55 lbs., Gray and white. Spayed, all shots, microchipped. Possibly cat tolerant.

Newby

Big, bold, muscular, Newby is a good looker who is getting over some serious abuse. He has a sensitive side and is becoming more attentive  and interested in people. He gets along well with other huskies and will stay in a crate for hours at a time. Black and white with soft brown eyes, Newby is 1.5 years old, 71 lbs. He has all shots, is neutered, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed. No cats or critters.

Luka and Lakai are litter mates, both a year and a half old. They are very people focused, very well behaved, and socialized. They are virtually inseparable and almost move in unison. We are hoping to adopt them as a pair if possible because they become heartbroken quickly when separated.  Luka, the male has a fluffy wooly coat and is about 67 lbs. Lakai, the female has a short smooth coat and is about 50 lbs. Both are sharply black and white in color and both possess beautiful blue eyes. This is a great pair of dogs.

Spayed and Neutered, microchipped, all shots, vet checked. Uncertain about cats and critters, but would be highly cautious about contact.
